If anyone says that you are antisemitic, tell them to call me-- I am fed up with members of my wonderful religion, screaming 'antisemitism' when someone sneezes. As one legitimate rabbi here says, lets focus on the actual hate speech and actual hate violence.
Thank you for this and your passion towards my friends now n 4ever. What ever drove him to to do this was not of his own accord evil lurks in the shadows
Dr. Jones your balanced approach to this issue is honorable. You did show understanding to those who were shot at, especially given your personal experience and respect for Mayor Greenberg. I also know the mayor and am sorry for the fear he and others present experienced. But, like you, my heart breaks for Quintez. His pattern of behavior and drastic change in his early 20s is consistent with severe mental illness including psychosis. Those with mental health issues are stigmatized in our society and seldom receive the treatment they need. Prison is not the answer for this situation. The bar for not being held responsible due to mental illness in the court system was raised after Reagan was shot. It is nearly impossible for Justice to be served as a result. Thank you.
So wait you're saying that Quintez had a break and there for shouldn't be held accountable? That is what I am missing from this whole thing.
Should he be held accountable?
The real outrage from some of the community was to bail funds who use their donations to get attempted murders out of jail instead of people who are down on the luck.

I appreciate you, Honi! ❤️

Brilliant and compassionate.

He obviously should get some treatment but if his family hadn't tried to hide it away a lot more compassion could've come his way.
I'd also be curious Dr Jones - did you ever reach out to provide compassion to the victims?
Held accountable and going to jail as terror to society…completely different
