It's telling that GM Lamb makes no effort to establish or even feign a track record to establish his credentials here as acting in the interests of justice or fairness. He wasted not one syllable pretending to care about racial injustice - unless and until he feels it acutely on behalf of the lawmakers whose defense he rushes to (also without first establishing their own credentials as people who care about ending racial injustice). Imagine having such a heightened sensitivity to perceived racial injustice as to deliver an elaborate informercial wringing his knuckles over powerful people having their actions labeled - while being so indifferent and unaware to the violence of racism all around him when it is aimed squarely at people who do not look like him - including families and children and viewers with no access to or influence within power structures within his station's reach. He's not serving his viewers - and, I suppose it's to his credit that he isn't even pretending that he cares.
